Senior Systems Analyst

Position Summary
The Senior Systems Analyst will contribute to the system
life cycle (SLC) process for implementing business applications
and systems. The role will support the Informatics project
managers on large projects or lead small projects under
the guidance of a Project Manager. Specific responsibilities
include focusing on gathering business requirements;
developing test plans and scripts, running tests, facilitating
deployment (roll out) activities, and ensuring that
the systems are properly implemented in accordance with
GxP, validation and internal company standards.
Description of Duties & Responsibilities
The Senior System Analyst will be involved in the delivery
of technology solutions supporting the pharmaceutical
development area of the business. The solutions will
encompass a full range of technologies including industry
solutions and custom developed solutions. The candidate
must be able to multi-task and prioritize work since
they may work on several projects or efforts simultaneously.
Gather and document user requirements for assigned projects;
Perform detailed analysis for existing and proposed
systems;
Design and document business processes and technical
solutions in accordance with stated business challenge
and project scope;
Create detailed work estimates and project schedules;
Create and execute validation documentation;
Ensure successful, timely and cost effective development
and implementation of high quality deliverables;
Provide timely and accurate progress information to
support project status reports;
Facilitate software evaluation and vendor presentations;
and
Coordinate vendor training sessions.
Position Requirements
Education:
BS or advanced degree
Experience:
At least 4 years of relevant IT experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical
development or laboratory areas
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Laboratory experience in pharmaceutical/chemical industry
Firm understanding of structured system life cycles,
computer systems validation, and have previous hands-on
technical experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advance knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project
Work independently and be able to multi-task and prioritize
work since they may work on several projects or efforts
simultaneously.
Periodically travel to Jersey City, NJ (2 to 4 times
per month).
