Facilities Engineer
A pharmaceutical company located in New York is seeking
a senior Facilities Engineer who will effectively manage
and oversee complex engineering projects in support
of site wide initiatives and capital improvements. These
projects must be delivered on time and within budgetary
constraints. This is a hands on position and the successful
candidate will be responsible for the development of
flow diagrams, PID's, operating procedures, training
documents, equipment specifications and commissioning
and validation documents as required. The successful
candidate will actively participate in all project phases
through commissioning and startup activities and will
assure compliance with good engineering practices, company
policies, regulations and codes. Of equal importance,
the successful candidate will provide specific building
support in regards to technical competence for mechanical
and utility systems and will interface with internal
and external regulatory agencies.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a B.S., M.S., or
Ph.D. in engineering mechanical or chemical preferred
with a minimum of 10 years experience in facility engineering,
project engineering or project management in the biopharmaceutical
industry. Must have a proven background in managing
complex engineering projects from scope definition to
turnover to client. Must have experience in successfully
developing and managing budgets, timelines and schedules
to meet aggressive objectives. Candidate must have experience
in managing facility engineering functions and have
a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and utility
systems utilized in GMP operating facilities as well
as maintenance and calibration systems that support
these systems. Candidate will possess strong analytical
and troubleshooting skills. Effective verbal and written
communication skills are essential.
