Director, Clinical Pharmacology
Pharmaceutical company located in Florida is seeking
a Director, Clinical Pharmacology to provide functional
leadership to the Clinical Pharmacology Department in
support of staff, project teams, and other departments
to facilitate drug development.
Position Summary:
Post-graduate level scientist with Clinical Pharmacology
training and management skills to lead the Clinical
Pharmacology department.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and conduct of
toxicology studies, Phase I/II,
Non-clinical and pharmacokinetic studies (i.e., protocol
design, scientific support during study execution, data
analysis, and report writing)
- Provide Clinical Pharmacology infrastructure to support
project teams
- Responsibilities may also include assisting with planning
clinical programs for investigational new drugs
- Management and mentoring of Clinical Pharmacology
staff
Experience:
- Ph.D. or Pharm.D. Graduate
- 5 years or more experience with human pharmacokinetic
or biopharmaceutics data analysis and simulation
- Computer literacy (i.e., competence with PowerPoint,
MS Word, MS Excel, and WinNonlin or similar programs)
- Project management experience
- Experience in working in a team oriented environment
Preferred Requirements:
1. Experience in design, execution and data analysis
of toxicology, Phase I/II,
Non-clinical and pharmacokinetic studies
2. Knowledge of pharmacodynamics and therapeutics
3. Experience in the cardiovascular and pulmonary therapeutic
areas
4. Experience in the management of > 3 clinical scientists
5. Experience in creating study and departmental budgets
6. Experience in making presentations to FDA and other
regulatory bodies
Willingness to travel up to about 20% of time
