Director, Business Development
Pharmaceutical company located in Northern NJ is seeking
an Associate Director Business Development to be responsible
for taking assigned projects from the conceptual stage,
through development, to commercialization. This individual
shall manage the development of objectives, strategies
and assignments in order to ensure the execution and
success of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work to ensure integration of strategic planning across
all functions that impact development efforts. To this
extent, leads coordination efforts with R&D/Regulatory
Affairs, Production, Sales and Marketing and Business
Development.
- Present project proposals and take forward ideas put
forth by the company.
- Create and maintain relationships with partnerships.
- Serve as primary contact for partnerships.
- Work with partnerships to promote project concepts
that are economical and strategically viable to the
company.
- Support department by formulating product trend analysis
and monitoring strategic developments of new or existing
product candidates.
- Recommend changes and improvements for assigned projects.
- Evaluate ideas and suggestions for new or existing
products.
- Monitor websites, perform searches for information
that may affect product commercialization.
- Participate and represent department at project meetings
and act as liaison with all departments as required.
Requirements:
oRequires four years of college resulting in a Bachelor
of Science degree or equivalent.
oRequires 3-5 years minimum related work experience,
preferably with generic pharmaceutical products.
oRequires excellent computer skills.
oExperience with IMS Data and a general knowledge of
Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and US FDA Regulations
are preferred.
oThis position requires an individual that has excellent
communication skills, both verbal and written. The Business
Development Manager shall be required to channel information
in an appropriate manner, ensuring the most constructive
usage of information and data. Must demonstrate the
ability to work independently or function as a core
team member.
oRequires the ability to handle simultaneous tasks and
meet deadlines. Must be willing to travel and work a
flexible schedule as required.

Director, Scientific Licensing/Alliance Management
Position Summary:
Manage all aspects of scientific licensing of technology
and products to add to internal R&D pipeline. Manages
partnerships with external licensing and acquisition
partners and ensure that the contributions from these
partnerships are maximized in terms of sales and profit
growth.
Position Scope:
Lead all activities towards the identification, evaluation
and completion of partnerships that help acquire technology
or products to boost the R&D pipeline.
·Collaborates with internal departments, such
as marketing, sales, R&D, and Finance, along with
external partners towards the maximization of the value
of our companies' partnerships and acquisitions. Serves
as a key spokesperson ensuring an appropriate implementation
of key activities identified in the agreements. Serves
as an ongoing internal champion of these partnerships
and ensure that all company stakeholders are kept informed
and fulfill their obligations towards the success of
the partnerships.
Responsibilities: Scientific Licensing
1. Review literature, attend scientific meetings and
interact with key external contacts to identify and
target potential scientific in-licensing opportunities.
2. Collaborate with internal functions (marketing, R&D,
Finance etc.) to conduct due diligence on identified
opportunities and recommend to management on moving
forward with product acquisition.
3. Participate in negotiations that would lead to the
closure of these in-licensing deals.
4. Monitor product development and acquisition opportunities;
stay current with the latest marketing and business
trends in companies' market segments.
5. Assist in or produce feasibility studies/business
plans for new product development.
6. Prepare market analysis and financial models justifying
a go/no go decision on acquisition and licensing opportunities

7. Serve as key liaison with external partners.
8. Develop Action Plans along with other departments
towards fulfillment of obligations in these partnerships.
9. Serve as the internal contact person on any ongoing
partnership.
10. Work with different departments towards the quick
integration of new product acquisitions.
11. Assist different departments in appropriate budget
planning as it relates to their obligations towards
our alliances.
12. Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, mission,
vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures,
operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and
the code of ethical behavior.
Experience: Must possess a M.D. Ph.D. or Pharm D. Highly
developed scientific evaluation, organizational, planning
and management writing skills and oral communication
